Under the BSW model BIS enters into a processing agreement with the distillery whereby BIS acquires the unaged distilled spirit and barrel from BIS’ vendors and BIS processes the barrel according to the client’s product specifications. BIS then sells the barrel and the distilled spirit to the client. The client shall specify the age that they desire the barrel to be processed for. BIS will conduct a GCMS of the unaged distilled spirit before it enters the barrel and at intervals in the process cycle and compare its composition to prior unaged distilled spirits.
Under the BSR model BIS enters into a processing agreement with the client whereby the client provides their barrel, filled with their distilled spirit. The client may sell their barrel at any point of its age in the client’s warehouse. BIS purchases the barrel and distilled spirit from the client. BIS processes the barrel and distilled spirit according to the client’s product specifications. BIS will conduct a GCMS of the distilled spirit prior to processing and at intervals in the process cycle and compare its composition to products of the same age. At the end of the process period BIS sells the barrel and the distilled spirit back to the client. In the BSR channel there is a transfer of title of the barrel and distilled spirit from the client to BIS prior to processing and from BIS to the client after processing.
Under the DSL model BIS enters into an agreement with the client whereby the dlient provides the required space for the system. BIS conducts a site survey provides the system requirements. The client designates the space according to the footprint and provides the utilities. BIS delivers the equipment to the client’s site. BIS performs the installation of the equipment. The client provides their barrel and distilled spirit to enter into the container. BIS processes the barrel according to the client’s product specifications. The client shall specify the age that they desire the barrel to be. The client shall provide the age equivalent GCMS. BIS will conduct a GCMS of the distilled spirit prior to processing and at intervals in the process cycle and compare its composition to products of the same age. Under the DSL agreement there is no transfer of title of the client’s barrel and distilled spirit to BIS.
